Lisa Chester Rubio is currently a Digital Learning Coach for the Frisco Independent School District in Frisco, TX. She provides support for technology integration and STEAM education at McSpedden Elementary and Tadlock Elementary.
She has been in public education for over 22 years with the last 15 in Frisco ISD. Previously, she taught in Dallas ISD--Kindergarten, 2nd & 3rd grade, and Tech Apps for 2nd-6th grade.
She has earned a bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia, Early Childhood and Elementary teaching certificates through the University of North Texas, a master's degree in Educational Administration with state certification from the University of Texas-Arlington, and a STEAM certificate from Clemson University.
She is an advocate for STEAM education and believes that it is important for educators to provide opportunities for young children to learn how to work together, critically think, flex their creative muscles, and practice their communication skills.
